  • Where will the road of your life take you? It’s unpredictable and beautiful at the same time - you’ve got to nudge it some direction and see what happens. Humanitarian aid training with #redruk did that for me. Now I direct a #humanitarian aid training at #larochecollege in #pittsburgh. Come join us this summer and nudge your future in an amazing direction.

The map of disasters and humanitarian crises worldwide on the Reliefweb website is not a pretty thing - but it does tell you: you are needed. Check out the jobs link on the website to look at the wide range of jobs available, even for those just starting out in the field.
Great to meet with Mirno Pasquali  - back in the states and visiting Pittsburgh briefly before heading to Bangladesh to work. An Allegheny College graduate who entered the field 4 years ago or more!  Reiterating that some of the most important skills are the 'soft skills'  - and EXCEL! Both will be included in this summer's certificate program

Emergency Education - ever heard of it? a growing an necessary field. Thousands of children are in refugee camps right now and more will be displaced from school by disasters and emergencies. The world cannot afford to have these kids fall behind in school  - they never catch up. INEE works for standards and training in the field. They also list jobs and training on their website. We'll be a part of the global meetup on Emergency Education in April. You can join the network for more information on their website - it's free. Our training application is here
